The iPhone 5? Or the iPhone 4S?

You probably got to this post by typing "iPhone 5" into a search engine. But rumors have emerged that Apple's next hard hitter might not actually be the game changing, profoundly named, "iPhone 5", but instead just a solid upgrade. For example;

The 5 MP camera will probably be upgraded to an 8MP and the iPad 2 (1-GHz) A5 chip will probably move into the scene as well. Users can also expect a RAM upgrade and the maximum memory capacity to be pushed to 64GB for those of us who just can't get enough.

So non of these upgrades are revolutionary. However, thats not all, we've heard of other, more exciting leaks too...
Recently a website by the name of "Alibaba" (China's largest B2B commerce site), has leaked the iPhone 5's design. Apple reacted very swiftly to the leak and the post was torn down just as quickly as it was brought up. Are Apple hiding something?

Now you may not think that this is a big deal, but think again. Alibaba also leaked the correct iPad design before it was released and so this looks promising..

The picture in question (to the left), shows a very familiar looking iPhone design, slightly wider with an edge to edge screen, but overall very similar to every other iPhone out there.

But the sharpest amongst you will realise that there is one very different feature to the back of the case. It makes way for what looks to be either a second camera or a flash.

Here is a mock up photo (to the right) of a very strong possibility of a 3D camera on the iPhone if Apple decide to try and "Revolutionize the Phone" once again.

This would probably mean that the screen would have to be 3D as well which could explain the extension on the screen seen in the leaked Alibaba case photo above and the second camera allowing for 3D images and video.

So which one is it? A simple upgrade to the iPhone 4S? Or a revolutionary new iPhone and the first in the market to push mobile 3D filming?
